STRENGTH IN SUPPORT
WHAT IS A POSTPARTUM DOULA
A postpartum doula provides new families with evidence based information and support on things like; infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, bonding with baby and basic newborn care.
This support typically takes place during the fourth trimester - the first 3 months after baby's arrival.

The main goal of a postpartum doula is to "mother the mother". This can include a wide array of tasks and support to help parents feel confident in their new roles. Postpartum doulas work with the needs of each family to customize a postpartum care plan.
